Zach Soflin Presents Session at A’19

Our fearless leader Zach Soflin, RA, crushed it at the 2019 AIA Conference on Architecture where he presented an engaging session to more than 75 architecture and allied professionals.

His session titled “Linking Complex Data to BIM Models: Lessons from Open-Sourced Programming,” examined the development of software that allows designers to collect complex data in the field and access it using a custom mobile/desktop application that interfaces with conventional BIM platforms. He also discussed how the software development process offers an opportunity to think critically about what can be learned from the open-sourced, collaborative nature of the computer science industry.
