Layer founder Zach Soflin, AIA, presented at the AEC Tech Symposium on Friday, October 18, 2019 in New York City. Zach presented his paper “Abstracting Project-Specific Problems for Broader Application” during Session 1 of the day-long symposium hosted by Thornton Tomasetti at Baruch College Engleman Hall.

Zach spoke alongside these industry thought leaders at the Symposium: Gregor Vlikner and Jonathan Rodrigues of Energy Metrics; Justin Nardone of Figur; Matt Naugle of Related Facades; Elissa Ross of MESH Consultants; Ahmed El Husseiny of AE Superlab; and Maria Aiolova of Arup University and Terreform ONE. The afternoon roundtable discussion will include industry thought leaders and disrupters Ray Daddazio of Thornton Tomasetti; Janet Simpson of tvsdesign; Kenn Clausen of GXN; Stephen Van Dyke of LMN; Roderick Bates of KieranTimberlake; and will be moderated by Charles Portelli of Konstru.
