AI Voice Fill lets you populate element fields by speaking instead of typing. Open the AI input on an element, record what you see on site, and Layer transcribes your speech and suggests values for the relevant fields. It is built for hands-free capture while you walk a site.
AI Voice Fill is different from Dictation. Dictation types your spoken words into a single text field. AI Voice Fill interprets what you say and suggests values across the appropriate fields for you to review.
How to Use AI Voice Fill
Open the AI input on an element.
Tap the microphone icon to start recording. The control shows a recording state while it listens.
Speak the data you want to capture. You can describe more than one field in a single pass.
Tap Stop Recording when you finish. Layer transcribes what you said.
Review the suggested field values, then accept to apply them to the element.
You can also type into the same input instead of speaking.
Tips
Speak clearly and at a natural pace.
Name the field and value together where it helps, for example "condition is good, quantity is four."
Review the suggested values before you accept them. You stay in control of what gets written to the element.
Availability
AI Voice Fill uses your device and browser's speech support for the voice input. Where speech input is not available, you can still type into the AI input.
