Learn how to use Layer Automations to streamline project workflows with custom Triggers and Actions that update data or notify team members.

Layer Automations are a powerful way to automate tasks within a project. An automation consists of a Trigger and one or more Actions.

A Trigger informs the automation of when to run. This could be when an element in the project changes or at a scheduled interval.
Actions are the tasks that run when the Trigger criteria is met, such as updating an element field value or notifying a user.
With the customizability of Automations, the possibilities are nearly endless for what you can do within a project. See Automation Examples for some ideas!
