What we showed: Layer 4
AU 2025 was the launch of Layer 4, the major release of Layer's flexible database for AEC teams. Layer 4 rebuilt the platform around a single project database that connects directly to Revit and powers every downstream workflow.
Demos at the booth walked through the four workflows that share that database:
Revit integration. The Layer add-in keeps the model as the source of truth, so project data stops getting rebuilt across Excel, Word, and InDesign for each deliverable.
Room data sheets. Generated from model data, updated from field captures on iPad, and re-exported in seconds when the model or field notes change.
FF&E specifications. Linked to Revit families, so a finish change in the model flows to the spec without anyone retyping it.
Building surveys and condition assessments. Forms on iOS, Android, and the web, syncing back to a single project record.
