Signing Up For Your Account
Learn how to sign up for Layer using Google, Microsoft, or a custom account. Follow steps for email verification, creating a company, and inviting team members.
Sign up here: https://app.layer.team/sign-up You can sign up automatically with a Google or Microsoft account -or- create a username/password account by filling out the fields and clicking Create Account.
Note: We do not recommend using email addresses ending with non-work domains like gmail.com, yahoo.com, etc.
If logging in with your Google or Microsoft account, a window will pop up to sign in.
After filling in the fields and clicking Create Account, you will be sent an email for verification purposes.
Open your email to click the link inside to verify.
Once your email is verified, you will continue setting up your account with a Company.
If your Company already has an account in Layer (and the auto-join setting is turned on), you will see the screen below.
If you are the first to sign up in your company, or none of the listed options are correct, you can create a New Company.
👉 Note: If your company goes by multiple names or acronyms, we recommend using the most recognizable one for the Company Name as others may be joining this company in the future.
The next step allows you to invite your team to the Company you just created. Add emails to invite others or leave the box blank to skip. You can always invite others in your Manage Company settings later.
The second box with your company domain if added allows others to automatically join your company in the future. Note: This may add additional licenses to your Company and incur a charge. Leave blank to prevent others from auto joining.
Now you’re all set to start creating your Layer projects!
