Can I use Layer offline?

How can I find out which version of Layer I am on?

Click on the Get Help button in the left navigation. In the menu that pops up, the App Version will be shown.
Refreshing your browser will update your app to the latest version. You can find out the latest version of Layer available in the change log.


How can I request a feature that does not exist in Layer?

Please use the Request a Feature button at this link: https://layer.team/product-updates


I deleted something. Can it be recovered?

Layer maintains an archive for 30 days of project data. There are a few ways to restore your data. When asking for assistance to find and restore project data, please provide our support team with as much information as possible to find the data, such as the Project Name, what type of item was deleted, who deleted and approximately when.

  • Project
    Deleted Projects will appear in the Trash tab on your project dashboard. Please reach out to the support chat or email help@layer.team to un-archive the project.

  • Category
    Please reach out to the support chat or email help@layer.team to un-archive the category.

  • Element
    After deleting an element, the top of the element detail will have a red bar indicating the element has been deleted. There is a button to recover the element. If you navigate away from this menu, you will need to contact support to un-archive the element.


  • Field
    Activity for deleted fields will show up in the project's Activity section. This can be found at the bottom of your left navigation panel. You can click the Revert Change button to the right of the action to restore the deleted field and its data. If you have deleted field within the past 30 days that you cannot find in Activity, please reach out to our support team to help finding and recovering.
